About Amber
Amber is a fossilized resin of prehistoric trees. It’s often found in coastal areas. Our Amber comes from Poland, and is sometimes found washed upon the Baltic Sea shore after storms. Baltic amber is estimated to be around 40 millions year old. Since the Stone Age, amber has been prized and revered by many cultures. In the days of ancient Greece and Rome, it was available only to nobility. Ancient civilizations not only treasured amber for its beauty but also attributed it with curative and magical powers. Amber is unique - it cannot be duplicated by human effort yet, although many have tried and failed. Because it's an organic substance, it is lightweight and warm to the touch.
